First Devlog!
Okay, there's probably not much to say, but I'll describe what I've been doing here the last few days anyway. Not much, but now you can see the new tank "models" and also the new menu. Yes it's true that some of you have already caught this news, but I still say it's there ;)
The other new maps are the new maps, the BetaMap that has been with us since the beginning remains, the new MidPlay map and DarkTunnel is up to you to find out what these new maps entail <3
Another new feature might throw you off your chair, literally.. we've added damage after hitting an enemy tank based on your speed, that means we now have acceleration too yeeey 😅 . But when you try it you'll understand that dragging your opponent all over the map is quite fun, and most importantly it finally adds some gameplay to the game rather than just camping around a corner :D .
There's not much more to say, maybe just that the dmg system has been tweaked to be a bit more friendly and in line with reality. We've also optimized the speed of the game so it will run on weaker machines, as it always has...
We are trying to improve this game as much as we can so look forward to more updates coming out soon. And what could you expect?
Well, here's a list of what's coming:
Sounds (and Dubbing?)- we've already got some samples of engine explosions, ammo, etc. in the works, so look forward to hearing it for yourself. Well dubbing? we thought we could add some casual dubbing like "Armor Unbroken", "Direct Shot" etc. you know ;)
Better graphics and finally finished all the graphic materials- yes we are working hard on new graphics, even though it may not look like it... So it looks like all of these things, both Sounds and Graphics, will come out in the same version.
Finally Multiplayer!!! - yes multiplayer, the thing most developers are afraid of like going to the basement... but not us! Multiplayer for up to four players should be coming in a few weeks/days! And who knows maybe even some BattleRoyale? Or a massive 100 player rumble? Who knows!
Power-Ups - yes there will be power-ups that the player can use in combat, only in combat every round, that is if they get lucky :D and what can they be? Like armor or engine or turret upgrades. But there will also be new Minigun & Howitzer cannons!!!
Well, it's true that the enemies in Testing Grounds are not the smartest, so we will make sure that the tank commanders finally get some brains in the near future :)
UI, what is it? - We realize that UI is not completely friendly and clear and half of the things in it can't be seen, but this will probably improve too! Better healthbars, repair kit and extinguisher icons, maybe a reload timer or active upgrades. Write what would help you to find your way around the game!
Tutorial & Settings - we know it's hard to play at all when you have no idea how to drive and that's what the tutorial is for, well it will be... it's one of the main things we want to focus on so this will be one of the main updates. Well, the settings for the current state of the game were unnecessary, but when we add some better graphics and sounds, the settings will certainly be added ;)
